I've been the music director at WUSM since March 2000.  Before that, I was a
history teacher for five years.  I love this job--it's really the first job
I've been able to say that about.  I plan to stay here and help bring the
finest music available to our listeners for as long as they'll let me!  I
also play guitar and sing with Buffalo Nickel, a roots-country band here in
Hattiesburg.  Our first album "Up On Blocks" was released last year and
we're currently working on one that will hopefully be out in 2004.  Also,
I'll be a father for the first time at the end of this year.

We play roots music from 3 p.m. until sign-off every day.  That includes our
Americana, blues, jazz, and alternative shows.  We're very into discovering
new artists and try to give everything we receive a fair listen.  Roots
Music Report has brought us to the attention of several artists and labels
through our reporting status, and we're happy to be working with them.
