Elaine C. Erb KGNU Radio 88.5 FM
Elaine is Music Director at Boulder’s twenty-five year old community radio station, KGNU. Growing up in the Detroit area, she has always been a fan of freeform radio, loving that moment of discovery of great new artists over the airwaves.A graduate of the University of Colorado, Elaine started working at KGNU shortly after graduation, helping with fund drives, answering phones, doing environmental reporting, serving on the board of directors, and DJing. After a short career in GIS/computer mapping, Elaine started working full-time at KGNU. Musically Elaine is as much a fan of King Crimson and the California Guitar Trio as she is of Brave Combo, Baaba Maal, Astor Piazzolla, the Asylum Street Spankers and the Kronos Quartet. Working at KGNU has given her the chance to explore her passion for international music while gaining more exposure to every sort of music there is. When she’s not shuffling piles of CDs, Elaine likes to be outside playing in Colorado by skiing and bicycling.
