CURRENT SHOW: "Dark Side of the Highway", "Sundays from 2- 4 PM" on WFCS 107.7 FM at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT. Specializing in mostly contemporary American roots music. During periods of unemployment I can often be heard filling in overnight dead air shifts ("Graveyard Shift").

BRIEF RADIO HISTORY: Been DJing since October 13, 1992. Worked from 1992-1995 at WMXC Radio (closed circuit glorified PA system that broadcast into school cafeteria) at Middlesex Community-Technical College in Middletown, CT. Got my A.S. degree in general studies from Middlesex in 1995. Did several shows at WESU 88.1 FM in at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT during the summers of 1994, 1995, 1997 and the fall of 1997. Been DJing at WFCS 107.7 FM at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT since 1996. Got my B.A. in American History from Central in 1997.

INTEREST IN ROOTS: Been featuring various types of roots music sporadically throughout my radio "career", but became a diehard roots fanatic after seeing the 2000 film "O Brother, Where Art Thou?". I am currently the only DJ at my station (except for one blues DJ) doing a roots program.


FAMILY: Descended from the aristocratic Schuyler family of New York's Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey.

FAMOUS (DISTANT) RELATIVES: Major General Philip John Schuyler (American Revolution), Catherine Van Rensselaer Schuyler (goddaughter of George Washington), Alexander Hamilton, Major General Stephen Van Rensselaer (War of 1812), Vice President Schuyler Colfax (under Ulysses S.
