Small Market Public Stations Could Be Hit Hardest Without Public Funds.
We've heard from many public radio stations across the country. In the larger markets, it appears that while stations would hate to lose the federal funding, they could deal with it. Perhaps they go back to the members or pick up a few more sponsors. Maybe they make programming or staff changes to cope. They weren't worried they would go off the air. Small markets, on the other hand, are a little more stressed out.
