Senate Finance Committee Passes Performance Rights Act

The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted to approve the Performance Rights Act, which would for the first time require broadcast radio to pay performance royalties to record labels and other copyright owners. The House version of the bill has already passed in the House Judiciary Committee, but the PRA has several steps to go before becoming law. More at www.radioink.com
