FOR RECUERDO 106.5 FM FREQUENCY
HOUSTON, TX, October 19, 2009 -- Univision Radio, the leading Spanish-language radio broadcaster in the United States, announced today that the signal for KOVE-Recuerdo 106.5 FM has been upgraded. The tower for the 106.5 FM frequency, already at a 100,000-watt capacity, has been moved up from 1300 feet to 1997 feet, which will expand its reach into the market area allowing the station to deliver the Recuerdo format to 67 percent more of the Houston Metro’s Hispanic population.
“The Recuerdo format has been very well received in Houston,” said J.D. Gonzalez, senior vice president, programming, Univision Radio. “Our ability to expand our coverage will allow us to better serve the Hispanic community of Houston and allow our unique programming to be heard across the metro area.”
Recuerdo 106.5 FM will continue being Houston’s Spanish adult hits music station playing the best of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s. The station mixes a variety of love songs, ballads, rancheras, trios, norteñas, and adult contemporary hits from the era, all played by internationally known artists such as Vicente Fernandez, Ana Gabriel, Bronco, Leo Dan, Juan Gabriel, Los Temerarios, and many more.
