Hailing from a part of the world that’s had more than its share of the blues, Israeli guitarist/vocalist Lazer Lloyd’s own version comes off as highly intense and clearly biographical.  His power trio format, with occasional added keyboard, provides a suitable framework for Lloyd’s potent, personal lyric sets.  The intensity shows through even on a folk-oriented acoustic take of Otis Redding’s classic “The Dock Of The Bay”.
