A good time seems to have been had by all on this decidedly upbeat set; the Windy City veterans fronting the proceedings consistently generating a party atmosphere more typical in a “live” setting than a studio.  Energized workups of classics including Willie Dixon’s “Spoonful” and “Built For Comfort” are spelled with laid back tracks such Mr. Turner’s take on “Poison Ivy” (a Chess Records release for Willie Mabon, not the Coasters hit) and (again, not to be confused with another familiar title) Mr. McCall’s own talkin’ blues “Money”.  Good listenin’ throughout.
