As he did on 2020’s Carryout or Delivery, Cincinnati-based piano man Ben Levin glides his way through a lively set, anchored by solid, savvy keyboard play and confident sounding retro-styled vocals. There’s more than a little Crescent City in this Queen City player’s handiwork on “Love And Friendship” and a nice “jump” workout on Jimmy Liggins’ “I Can’t Stop It”. The slow ballad “Christmas Rain”, one of several here co-penned with guitarist and father Aron Levin, should make many a holiday playlist.
