When Crystal Shawanda’s voice contacts the appropriate lyric set, a combustion of serious magnitude occurs as evidenced here on a pair of scorching ballad workouts- “When It Comes To Love” and “Bigger Than The Blues”.  The choruses of each of these deliver hooks as potent as any of recent vintage.  Other standouts include “Hey Love”, “New Orleans Is Sinking” and the title track.
