About the Album

When I started brainstorming a theme for this album I had just written the song "Overcome" with two of my favorite co-writers (Scott Van Zen, Rebecca Self) highlighting my triumphs over Ulcerative Colitis that year. However, when thinking about a theme, that word kept sticking out to me as a ubiquitous subject in all of our lives: the choice to overcome or be overcome.
