About the Album
The 2022 album release Dreams Above is an album that James Morgan has envisioned for many years as a concept to combine Jazz and classical symphonic strings in a smooth jazz groove format. This album is a song driven album as opposed to guitar being the focus. The album delivers the "west coast contemporary groove jazz" that fans have come to expect. All the original recorded music is left alone, including bad notes and dynamics. No quantizing allowed on this recording. This is real live recorded music for a change.
Helping to make that happen on the album is Nathan Brown on bass, Jack Nathan on drums, Chase Pado on piano and Andrew Nichols on sax and of course a big thank you to Grammy winner engineer, Alan Sanderson who has recorded all three of my albums.
