About the Album
My Dad is a Barber and hair stylist. We had a family business in the small town of Tweed, Ontario. Claude’s Hair Salon was a gathering place where locals would sit in his chair, share their stories, and receive a rejuvenating haircut! The Barber Shop was it’s own world to me and the salon still holds that charm for me to this day.
I wrote this song when my Dad had been a barber for 50 years. He continued to cut hair for many more years and while he has put the clippers away, he is still an important part of the town of Tweed. This song is in honour of not only my Dad but all those in the hair profession. With a tap of the hand on the back of the chair, signifying that it was your turn to “Come Sit In My Chair”
