About the Album
If you’ve ever worked at a job where you can’t wait to leave it for whatever reason, this song is for you. Maybe you are planning your next career move and are just waiting for the day when you can tell your boss “I’m Outta Here”? I used to LOVE my job. I remember thinking some days that I couldn’t believe I was getting paid so well to do what I loved. Sure, there were stressors but overall, I was creating systems that helped people. I worked on many great projects and to this day still have such pride in what I helped create and how I helped people.
This song is the story of one of the few managers I had in all of my years of working where I couldn’t wait for the day I could leave. I moved to a smaller apartment and started saving my money so I could quit my job and do music full time. Telling her “I’m Outta Here” felt so great and 10 years later still does! I hope she hears this song on the radio somehow and realizes that she did me a favour. Without her being the way she was, I would have never felt the need to leave, and look at me now 10 years later! I traded in my high heels and business suit for a guitar and cowboy boots and haven’t looked back!
Special Thanks
Neilson Hubbard for playing drums, Pat Buchanan and Juan Solorzano for playing guitar, Dean Marold for playing the bass and Barry Walsh for playing piano!
