Rock n Roll Heart is the debut release from Ohio born, Austin based songwriter Lazarus (Nichols). The album showcases Lazarus's ability to navigate any road in the roots music world. Touching down in the realms of Folk, Country, Blues, Rag time, and of course Rock n Roll, the album truly is "Americana". His gritty vocals carry the songs across all of these paths and provide the glue that holds them all together as an album. Recorded with producer Kris Brown (Ruthie Foster, Sarah Hickman) and a slew of guests from the Austin scene including Warren Hood, Denis Ludiker (Asleep at the wheel), Grammy nominee Libby Koch, Rock n Roll Heart embodies what roots music should sound like.
