Joe Cocker Dead At 70

Very sad news breaking today as Joe Cocker, one of the most recognizable voices in music history, has passed away at 70.
Cocker’s agent Barrie Marshall confirmed his passing to the BBC stating that he was “simply unique” and “it will be impossible to fill the space he leaves in our hearts.” iTV.com is reporting that Cocker’s cause of death was due to lung cancer.
Born in Sheffield, England in 1944, Cocker started out singing with various groups on the England pub circuit in the 60s, but he would achive his first mainstream success with his incredible cover of The Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends” in 1968, which he performed at Woodstock
