Ida Clare, from Louisville, KY plays a diverse mix of Bluegrass, Americana, and Newgrass, with an abundance of original material. It doesn't matter if you catch them performing at a festival, or just warming up backstage before a show, their music will captivate you.

The members of the band, mandolin player and songwriter Jim Wheatley, powerhouse vocalist Lea Cockrell, banjo player Robin Roller-Thixton, and bassist Nick Stevens, are no strangers to performing. Nearly everyone is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist and the depth of both stage and studio experience is obvious. This is the group that you don’t want to miss.

Following their first-place win in the 2017 John Hartford Memorial Festival band contest, the band immediately went in to the studio and their first all original, self-titled project, "Ida Clare" was released in March of 2018 and had two songs chart on the Bluegrass Today "Grassicana" Charts.
