About the Band
Tom "Harpo" Walker is the Scottish, singer/songwriter/harmonica player of Django Blackheart, a Sydney band, whose acclaimed, debut album "Blues, Roots & Other Fruits" stormed the blues airplay charts in 2022 and was simultaneously #2 in both the UK and Australia and was one of the most played albums of 2022.
For his first solo album, Bruised Heart Blues, he has worked with his teenage music mentor, Paul Hemmings, guitarist of Britpop cult band The La's, The Lightning seeds and co-founder of The Viper Label record company. They workshopped Tom's songs in Paul's studio, next door to Strawberry Field in Liverpool, UK.
