Christopher Wyze & The Tellers
Carmel - Indiana - United States

Riding a wave of international blues acclaim, Christopher Wyze has emerged as a powerful lyricist and vocal stylist of his original blues music with his band, the Tellers.

Recipient of  “One to Watch” songwriter accolades from the Nashville Songwriters Association International, Wyze (and the Tellers) recorded the band's debut 13-track Stuck in the Mud album in Muscle Shoal. It quickly earned worldwide acclaim on blues album and singles charts in the U.S., UK, Australia, France, Belgium, Canada, Mexico and Germany. The album peaked at #2 on the weekly Roots Music Report (RMR) Blues Album Chart. Two singles captured #1 chart positions: Back to Clarksdale (#1 on the RMR Blues Song Chart) and Stuck in the Mud (#1 on iTunes Blues Chart: Belgium, Mexico). Stuck in the Mud also scored the 2025 Blues Blast Music Award for Best New Artist Debut Album. And, it was named one of the Top 200 Blues Albums for Year 2024 Roots Music Report, coming in at #29. Stuck in the Mud was just one of two new artist debut album releases to make it into the Top50.

Their follow-up release – LIVE in CLARKSDALE– captured the band’s raw energy on soundtrack and film. Featuring 8 of their radio-charting studio singles it included two blues classics made famous by Leroy Carr and Scrapper Blackwell. The CD+DVD, filmed at the famed Juke Joint Chapel on the grounds of the Shack Up Inn also features WYZE in CLARKSDALE – a 50-minute "all things Clarksdale" documentary. The album peaked at #7 on the RMR Blues Album Chart, and spent 29 weeks on that chart in 2025.

Shifting gears, the band released two singles for the 2025 Christmas season, both recorded and filmed in Memphis at famed Royal Studios. Hearts Christmas Blue featured acclaimed British blues artist Emma Wilson in a soulful duet with Chris Wyze. The track captured the ache of being apart from a loved one during the holidays. Christmas in Jail, the band's reimagined take on Leroy Carr and Scrapper Blackwell's 1929 recording,  shared the lament of one forlorn cell-dweller locked away for the holidays. The singles were featured on Blind Raccon's 2025 Holiday Blues Sampler Album, which peaked at #1 on the RMR Holiday Blues Album Chart.

In all, the band's music showcases their signature storytelling, grit, and emotion, and makes the case for Christopher Wyze & The Tellers as one most compelling new voices on the contemporary blues scene.
