About the Band
The Ciarán Hodgins Band is an Irish blues rock band led by guitarist and vocalist Ciarán Hodgins.
Inspired by the music of Rory Gallagher, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and the great blues-rock tradition, the band delivers powerful live performances combining classic blues, rock and original music.
The band has performed at numerous blues festivals, most notably the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon, which provided the band’s first major platform. Through the festival, the band has performed alongside a celebrated line-up of international blues artists, including Walter Trout, Jimmie Vaughan, Eric Gales, and Billy F Gibbons of ZZ Top.
Their latest release, “Long Time Ago (Live)”, is the lead single from the live album Live From Rory Gallagher Place, recorded during the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival and released through Studio Nine Records.
Keeping the spirit of blues rock alive through energetic performances and a passion for live music.
