Dos Floris relationship with music started when she was five but it wasn’t until her early twenties that she began to pursue it seriously. She sang, played piano and other instruments performed in school plays and musicals but essentially used music to escape from the drudgery of homework, lessons and life and hid herself away in the practice rooms. This all came to an abrupt end when she became ill with Anorexia. She gave up everything for about 5 years. Sport, music, friends, life and spent her days counting calories. With the help of family and friends, she slowly crawled out of the pit and bumped back into music spawning the fantastic album "The Widowed Earth".

Dos started learning the guitar when she moved to Italy and the unfamiliarity of a new instrument led her back into writing songs. She started her first band! It was terrible, she then started another band and they did quite well supporting Bryan Ferry at the Natural History Museum  in London & releasing their first EP, a few TV and radio appearances and tours in Italy and the UK followed. As a solo artist during that time she worked with Franco Battiato and the late Lucio Dalla and also collaborated with the Piccolo Coro, a well-known Italian children’s choir. She liked being in a band but it was difficult to leave to pursue a different musical idea. she was scared of being on her own and insecure about her abilities. She fell into a black hole - insomnia and all the rest of it. It was through the writing of the album “The Widowed Earth” that everything started to make sense. She wanted to make something beautiful that celebrated the essence of what it means to be human. She couldn’t keep herself out of the story but came to realise how connected we are to our natural surroundings and how they can literally "heal you". The result is an album that she is very proud of. She hopes that it will resonate with others and am really looking forward to taking it live - She want to give people a magical experience.

Dos Floris is a multi- instrumentalist  currently living in Bologna Italy. Her debut album The Widowed Earth was released on the 5th November 2015. Silence, Rivers & Walking in the Night, singles from the album are out now.
