About the Band
De Francisco & Yaques Quinteto is a jazz band from Argentina. Composed by Leonel De Francisco in Trumpet, Alejandro Yaques in Harmonica y Voice, Ramiro Penovi in Guitar, Leonel Cejas in Double Bass and Javier Martinez Vallejos in Drums.
The Quintet has two years of activity and has made presentations at the main sites of the Jazz and Blues scene in Buenos Aires, as well as in the interior of the country.
They have their first album released in 2018 that features original songs by Leonel and Alejandro as well as Jazz standards. The Brazilian musician Felipe Cortes in Percussion and Ivan Viaggio in Double Bass participate as guests. The album was recorded in two live sessions. The first one in Sala Satch, by Gabriela Roda. The second session was in LFR studies by Leandro Bravo and Mariano Gentile. The album was mixed and mastered analogically by Nestor Tinaro in Hammer Studio.
