JD Taylor adds pizzazz to a solid harmonica-led small group with occasional backup choruses and horn sections, turning out a tasty and varied set of all-but-one originals.  Vocally, the Memphis-based harpster displays the same casual-sounding but firm grip on the genre heard from the likes of Kim Wilson and Rick Estrin, evidenced on tracks such as “Got Me Where You Want Me” and “Cocomo”.  Instrumentally, Mr. T. stands strong up front of a soulful horn chart on the ballad “At First Glance” and slick and articulate on the set closer, “The Coldwater Swing”.  A squad of guitarists provide simpatico play and keyboard chores are handled by Memphis royalty- Hi Records session vet, Rev. Charles Hodges.
