Tomislav Goluban lays out his blues bona fides in formidable fashion from the get-go, generating more blues-harp voltage on the opening track than some sessions deliver in an entire set.  This may satisfy purists enough to open their ears to the Croatian harmonica ace’s forthright reading of Lou Reed’s “Pale Blue Eyes” or his own idiosyncratic and thoroughly charming “Seeds In The Bag”; these two tracks among several enhanced by appealing vocal assistance from Kelly Zirbes.  Further instrumental pleasures are found in the straight-ahead shuffle “Extra Boom” and the horn-laced closer “Beast Walk”.
