Mike Zito, band and guests treat a “live” audience to a roof-raising, rockin’ blues set dosed with multiple moments of extended fretboard frenzy.  The St. Louis-bred guitarist/songwriter’s reliably muscular vocals are in fine bandstand form as well on this double-disc affair.  New voltage is infused into classics “Texas Flood” and “Voodoo Chile”; the latter including guest work from Eric Gales.  Disc Two’s leadoff track, “Highway Mama”, may be the winner for sheer blistering axe work. Other tacks of note include “Hell On Me”, “Wasted Time” and “Make Blues Not War”.
