Attitude abounds both in the lyrics and the delivery thereof on Emanuel Casablanca’s current, all-original offering.  The Brooklyn-based guitarist/vocalist takes on tried-and-true blues themes and then some, with an in-your-face fierceness and a contemporary edge that keeps things interesting throughout the set.  Even the acoustic-fronted “Farm” generates its own incandescent spell, situated as it is, alongside track after track laden with electric fretboard fireworks.  The nasty-grooved title track takes an unexpected mood change midway.  Others of note include “Dogshit”, “Conniver” and “Pistolero”.  Joanna Connors heads the guest list.
