Guitarist Kirk Fletcher serves up a most satisfying set of small-group journeyman blues, frills-free and consistently on task.  With a vocal delivery a couple of clicks on the mellow side of Albert King, the California-bred axeman accounts for himself well on gems including the Ruth Brown hit “It’s Love Baby (24 Hours of the Day)”, Percy Mayfield’s “Lost Love” and Eddie Bo’s “Every Dog Has Its Day”.  Mr. Fletcher’s blues-savvy fretwork seals the deal.  Good stuff.
