The distance between roadhouse and punk palace is decidedly short when navigated by way of this Birmingham-to-Nashville sextet’s sounds.  The punk aspect is more energy than posture and syncs up well with the raucous roots-bound nature of this continually kick-butt set. Co-leaders Corey Parsons (guitar) and Stephen Pierce (banjo) deliver attitudinally-appropriate vocals but the show stealer here is vocalist Mary Beth Richardson who torches superbly on her ballad features “No Good” and “Old Ways”.  Other strong tracks include “Waitin’”, “Golden Grease” and the leadoff country boogie burner “The Breeze”.
