The first-blush comparisons to Joplin may be unavoidable but soon thereafter it’s clear that the power, the attitude and all that energy are all Halley DeVestern’s own.  The NYC-based vocal dynamo’s spitfire posture is ideally showcased via the razor-sharp lyrics of the title track.  Also standing out in this all-too-short set are “Time For You To Light Things” and “Bangin’”.  The band is rock solid.
