Guitarist/vocalist Steven Casper shapeshifts lyrically from rock-solid roots ballad- “The Best Day of Our Lives”- to haunting heartsickness- “They Call It Love”- to near-psychedelia- “Down”.  He and the rest of this LA-based quintet encase these words with meaty instrumental work that strongly suggests there’s a kick-butt jam band here just itchin’ to bust out.
