As durable a blues and soul rocker as they come, Mike Zito here serves up a sturdy set, stocked primarily with his signature lyrically solid, hard driving fare.  The Royal Southern Brotherhood alum shines as well covering the 70’s Bobby Bland hit “I Wouldn’t Treat A Dog (The Way You Treat Me)”.  Searing slide work completes the haunting atmosphere of “Old Black Graveyard”. A gliding shuffle, “Dying Day” and the light-hearted “Mama Don’t Like No Wah Wah”, co-written by second guitarist Bernard Allison, stand out as well.
