Canadian singer-songwriter Lennie Gallant’ s latest album, “Time Travel,” delves into various journeys, places, legends and stories. The songs are nicely arranged with orchestral accompaniment. This injects energy into Gallant’s songs, providing the perfect backdrop for Gallant’s forceful vocals. Gallant and his musically gifted friends have crafted a fine album. For a plaintive ballad, check out “Sequoia.” Or for a haunting moderately tempo’ed song, cue up “Ghosts In This Town.” Guest vocalists include Jenn Grant (on “Nothing Makes Sense”), Rose Cousins (on “Blood and Salt Water”) and Mary Jane Lamond (singing in Gaelic on “Selkie”).   (Joe Ross, Roots Music Report)
