If his accent betrays his European beginnings, Breezy Rodio’s feel and enthusiasm for the blues comes off as strictly Windy City.  A Chicago sideman of several years, the Italian-born vocalist/guitarist matches his ardor with a considerable knack for blues-based songwriting.  Frequently in ballad mode throughout this generous 16-track set, each song’s firm grounding in the blues shows in full view; Mr. R.’s axe work present to finish the job.  The smartly-charted big band backup is a treat in its own right.  Standouts include “A Woman Don’t Care”, “I’m a Shufflin’ Fool” and the title track.
