The anointed Godfather of Swamp Pop, vocalist Warren Storm uncorks a jug of mellow, vintage Southern sounds that should delight established fans of the old school and could serve as an entertaining, impromptu survey course for the uninitiated.  Covers of NOLA gems “Lonely Nights” and “Let the Four Winds Blow”, birthed, respectively, by Earl King and Fats Domino are well treated here and Mr. Storm pays tribute to the storied Nashville blues label, Excello, revisiting Slim Harpo’s “Raining In My Heart” and redoing one of his own efforts for the label, “Prisoner’s Song”.
