Occupying the same good-timey jump-blues turf as artists such as Duke Robillard, harmonica ace George Bisharat, p/k/a Big Harp George, brings cut-above lyrical skills along with his agile, melody-conscious chromatic harp work to this realm.  Maybe two cuts above.  Evidence present here exists on tracks including “Supplement Life”, “Yes Dear” and “Bury My Head”.  Instrumental gems include “Come Out Swinging”, “Sun Difting” and an unexpected Brazilian-flavored treat, “Last Trip to Itapu”.  Brawny large-band backup fills out a top-notch set.  One of this year’s freshest offerings.
