About the Album

After the 2012 release of the well-received studio album, “Can of Gas & a Match”, Richmond, Virginia based blues rock band The Bush League returns with a new live album “Didn’t See This Coming”.

With the raucous sounds of the crowd as the back drop, this album is the first with the new additions of Wynton Davis on drums, Brad Moss and Michael Burgess on guitar. The album is a testament to the power of the Blues and the assurance that it is not dead, but vibrantly alive. Traditional Blues and Modern Blues don’t just meet, they collide and the result is an explosion of soul satisfying sound.  Joining The Bush League are Shelly Thiss (vocals) on “Tramp” and Pete Turpin (harmonica) on the Muddy Water’s classic, “Manish Boy”.

“Rough”, “aggressive”, “energetic”, and “perfectly imperfect” have been used to describe the band’s music and live shows and what couldn’t be translated on the studio album are on full display on these tracks.
