The year since Emily Duff’s release Born on the Ground has just further seasoned her convincing country vocal style and further tightened the NYC-born singer/songwriter’s grip on the classic genre’s postures- at no sacrifice of a fierce and feisty persona.  Initiates can expect no letdown of attitude:  “Go Fast, Don’t Die” deals out an ideal measure of swagger for a leadoff track; the lyrical bite of the title track conjures early Pretenders mojo.  Other standouts include a strong airplay candidate- “Gimme Back My Love”, “Flying Paper Planes” and “Done and Done”.
