Angel Forrest could get by strictly as the sassy, spunky soul burner she presents on the first few tracks of this set.  But, as things progress, the Quebec-based vocalist successfully softens it up as well.  Strutting her way up front of a solid horns-and-rhythm lineup on “All The Way”, she steams things up on the sexy follow-up track, “Spoil Me Up”.  The heat drops to a mellow simmer on the country-flavored ballad “Tumbleweed” and the breezy, acoustic-fronted “Goodbye”.  Tasty guitar work of a wide variety is omnipresent as the set features a number of Ms. Forrest’s accomplished countrymen as guest axe wielders.
